Plein air painting is often defined as capturing a moment in time, combined with the excitement of seeing colors in brilliant natural light. During the workshop, artists will be inspired by the beautiful setting on San Juan Island. The workshop will headquarter at the historic Corner Store studio for demonstrations and discussions. There will be a variety of locations which artists may return to on consecutive days to recreate similar light conditions. Through out each day, artists will receive individual instruction, the workshop is open to artists at every skill level, and to any medium of the artist's choice: oil painting; pastel; watercolor; pencil; charcoal or acrylic.
